Dimzon, together with OIC of OWWA-Regional Operation Coordination Service (ROCS) Director Ma. Lourdes V. Reyes and Executive Assistant Staff Delia Chanco, to be first visited among the regional offices in 2012.

    TACLOBAN CITY (13 April 2012)– The Honorable Carmelita S. Dimzon signed and entered into Memorandum of Agreement with the Provincial Government of Leyte (PGU-Leyte) through Governor Carlos Jericho L. Petilla for the establishment of OFW Helpdesks including the municipalities of Isabel and La Paz. This took place at the Provincial Capitol Building of Leyte.

    2 March 2012, Tacloban City - Eastern Visayas has one lucky passer in the November 2011 qualifying exam administered by the Department of Science and Technology. Out of the 126 applicants in Region 8 for the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Christopher Jude Z. Estela of San Vicente, Macrohon, Southern Leyte made it to the top 100 slots reserved nationwide for the said program.
