OWWA brings home 574 workers in mass repatriation

April 23 – Arriving on separate flights, 574 overseas Filipino workers from the Middle East were welcomed home Friday by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Labor Secretary Marianito D. Roque, former labor secretary and Chair Patricia Sto. Tomas of the Development Bank of the Philippines, other government officials and executives of companies that co-shared the costs of plane tickets for the repatriation with OWWA.

OWWA assists 37 repatriated workers from Kuwait, Jeddah
