The French aircraft, which carried a total of 228 people, was traveling from Rio de Janeiro to Paris when it disappeared into the Atlantic.
OWWA chief Carmelita Dimzon personally handed the check to Jugueta’s wife Miguela and daughter Aleli during a meeting at her office.
Although the remains of Jugueta has yet to be recovered, Dimzon said OWWA opted to release the financial benefits to his family since Air France had already declared that no one survived the accident.
