OWWA urges women OFWs to fight gender-based violence

To celebrate its inclusion in the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration-Regional Welfare Office (OWWA RWO) VI organized an activity on Enhancing Women OFWs Capacity to Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence.

 

Thirty-eight (38) female OFWs bound for Hong Kong attended the said workshop and seminar held at the Iloilo Grand Hotel, Iloilo City.

 

The topics discussed were on the basics of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, Values Formation, Financial Literacy, and Stress Management Training.
