OWWA-ARMM launches Training Center to strengthen services to OFWs

COTABATO CITY – The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration – Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (OWWA-ARMM) formally launches the OWWA-ARMM Training Center for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families on May 26, 2017.

OWWA-ARMM Regional Director Amy B. Crisostomo welcomed all the guests and participants.

OWWA Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac personally graced the occasion. According to Admin Cacdac, it is essential to have a training center in every region in order for OFWs and families can fully utilize and avail of the programs and services offered by OWWA.

During the program, OWWA gave financial assistance and death/burial benefits to the families of OFWs who died while working abroad.

OWWA also granted financial assistance to the family of OFW Fahima Alagasi who was earlier abused by her employer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
